Cenna Studio serves overlays over HTTP, so it can sit on the same PC as your switcher or on any other machine the switcher can reach. No account, no internet during the show.

Before you install

Our publisher verification is still pending

Cenna Studio is in beta and hasn't completed Apple's and Microsoft's publisher verification yet, so both systems show a caution screen the first time you install. The app is safe — it's our verification that's outstanding, not anything in the download. Both screens go at the v1 release, and updates after that install quietly.

Windows

Windows shows a blue “protected your PC” screen

Windows shows this for any publisher it hasn't verified yet. It's a caution about the paperwork, not a warning about the download — the installer is the same one we ship to every beta user.

Windows

Windows says Smart App Control blocked an app

A grey dialog with no “run anyway” button, on a small number of PCs. It's the same missing verification as the blue screen, enforced more strictly. The zipped installer often gets through where the plain one doesn't, and installs exactly the same.

  2. 2Extract it with 7-Zip or WinRAR — Windows' own unzip keeps the block
  3. 3Run the installer from the extracted folder
  4. 4If it's still blocked, Smart App Control can be turned off in Windows Security → App & browser control — but that switch is permanent and can't be undone without reinstalling Windows
macOS

macOS says it can't verify the developer

Our Apple developer verification is still going through, so macOS asks before opening the app the first time. The dialog has no Open button, so the way through is in System Settings.

  2. 2When the warning appears, click Done
  3. 3Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
  4. 4Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway
